Bonding Rituals (Blood, Bone, Mind, Soul, Spirit) Bonding Ritual: The bonding rituals are all the same, except for the Soul and Spirit rituals. Those are reserved for the Shai'Tal to bless others with. No non-clan member is allowed to speak those words without permission from a reigning member of the Clan.
One candle must be lit upon a circular crystal plate. The drops of blood must be then dripped into the flame, and the locks of hair strewn and twisted slowly about the shaft of the candle as the wax burns down. The note must be burned in it's entirety, and the two sides must be present to watch the candle burn from beginning to end. As this is happening, from the moment of the process, you would chant the following words to be bonded by blood: "gi'andias dut'rer'vag adir himeen Naeere A'gol'barass". Once the candle has been burned, and the plate has been covered by the mixture, you are to each take half of the mixed wax, and bury it beneath your homes. You will then be bound by blood.

Marriage Rituals Marriage is considered a sacred bond between two spirits and souls. It does not have to do with the blood, mind or the bone, because those do not transcend time and place, they hold back what is true and meant to be, at the expense of the heart and soul and spirit. The Shai'Tal believe for each being there is one mate per lifetime or per soul and spirit. To that one being they are bonded for an eternity, whether they choose to love one another or not, they remain true to that one. The Marriage Ritual for Commoners, is spoken in Common Tongue, and if performed by a Priestess of the Shai'Tal, it is blessed afterwards, with the blessing of the serpent. The common ceremony is as follows: Priestess/Priests: "For an eternity, we are meant to walk these lands. Through the winds, the rains, the turn of the seasons, we all have what we are bound for. Often we gather together, for the wrong reasons. We bury the right ones and blur them so that our path can no longer be seen in truth and purity of love. Today, we gather to celebrate that purity in it's true form. Bringing together this love, we shall honour it with our silent praise and willingness to unify them in both darkness and light, for they shall walk through both. (Female First, to Male.) "(Name), turn to your love, your soul and spirit, look to his eyes and speak the following words: I, (name) , give to you, my soul and spirit, my own. I profess my eternity to you, and allow you my heart, the most beautiful and precious gift which may be given to another. I give you the rain, my tears, the wind, my whispers, the storm, my kiss. I accept what you are and shall be, and in turn, I accept and wish a thousand lifetimes with you. Bonded in love and soul, I am." (Male, to Female) "(Name), turn to your love, your soul and spirit, look to his eyes and speak the following words: I, (name) , give to you, my soul and spirit, my own. Bonded in love and soul, I am." Priestess/Priest: Please turn fully towards me, and extend for me your offerings to each other. (Typically Rings). I bless these as offerings, symbols to ourselves, that you have been united in love, soul and spirit. You are now husband and wife, soul and spirit, make you walk the endless path of existence arm in arm for all eternity. You may now kiss, and give thanks to the gods and goddesses. |
